The goal of this research is to investigate the contribution of using the model of the foreign students’ adaptation in teaching foreign students at the preparatory departments of national universities.
Object of study: pre-training of foreign students.
Subject of study: The model of the foreign students’ adaptation to the study science and mathematics at higher education institutions.
In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used a multiple research methods: the study of materials and documents on the problems of foreign students, experimental methods.
The findings of the study showed that the use of the model of the foreign students’ adaptation resulted in improvement of preparatory year foreign students’ attitudes toward basic disciplines, including of sciences and mathematics.
The main conclusions and recommendations: The data show that the short time faculty training of foreign students will take place more effectively if teachers of basic disciplines, including of sciences and mathematics at the preparatory department will use the model of the foreign students’ adaptation.
